The house is an intermediate single storey terrace house that is built in the 80;s. The spaces are quite small and the ceilings height is low. Thus it is very dark and there is little sunlight penetrating in. The client wanted a lot of spaces to be fitted in this small house. That includes a game room, TV room, dining room and a store. Because of the client's space requirement, the ceilings were demolished and a mezzanine floor was added to make up as a TV room. Underneath is the private dining room and store room. One of the existing room became the game room. Skylights were introduced to light up the internal house naturally. One at the roof of the porch area, the living area and the kitchen. Thus this makes the small functional house more comfortable to live in
